Help answer this question below.
My home is showing signs of sag (cracking drywall) and I was thinking about
putting a jack post in the crawlspace. I've been doing some searches and see
a lot of questions about how/where/what type of jacks. I'm trying to find out
what I should be using as the base though.
I was thinking of digging a hole, filling with some gravel, covering with
paver base/coarse limestone, then I was planning to put a thick block/stone
on top.
Now I'm wondering if I should just dig the hole, make a layer of rocks and
then just cover it in some quikrete, but the guys at the hardware store were
unsure how much weight it could take.
I need this to be a permanent setup but I'm just not sure how to make it so
It'll last ten+ years.

Why do you even answer if it isn't relevant? Oh wait. 'Cause you're a troll.
