What has surprised you most about yourself?

    Everything... because my expectations and opinions of myself as a child were very low. I was extremely shy and thought I was stupid and ugly, but I married a beautiful woman, had wonderful children, earned several university degrees, and have done things I would never have dreamed possible: living and working in another country, being a professional musician, being a radio announcer, pouring gold bars for a mining operation, tanning on a nude beach... well, the list goes on.

    When I think about it, it's surreal; at one time I didn't know if I'd be alive to see adulthood.

    I wish I could thank every good person who helped along the way.
