Help answer this question below.

Is it cruel to never let a dog have puppies? ive never let my dog have pups because i would feel awful taking her pups away. but every time she hears puppies on tv she cries herself and looks straight towards the tv

    She looks towards the TV because she has heard an interesting sound. She is not "crying" the way you or I might due to sorrow at being childless, she's vocalizing at the sound of another dog. THAT'S ALL IT IS.

    NO DOG OR BITCH DREAMS OF BECOMING A PARENT. Although most become "good" or excellent parents if they are put into the position. (Some males are actually aggressive towards puppies and need to be kept away from them.)

    Dog's do not have the range or depth to their emotional or mental agility that humans do. When in heat, most bitches will submit to being bred because they are hormonally driven to do so, just as the males are hormonally driven to breed when they catch the scent..ANY SCENT of an in-heat bitch, from as far away as five standard blocks or more from where they are at a given time.

    I've seen breeding (or maybe potential breeding would be a better term!) bitches, mare's and other animals actually not only struggle, but REFUSE flat out and in no uncertain terms ANY advances made by the male chosen for them. I've seen bitches rip open the dogs, mare's kick OUT a stallion's eye, cows (are tarts usually and all for a game of slap and tickle) occasionally refuse, and sows attack if left to "natural" breeding.

    Sometimes it's a "personal" issue, the chosen male is simply "not suitable" to the female, other times she just isn't up for it!

    I think it's a lot more cruel to add more puppies to a world where so many go hungry every night, until they die.
