Can I remove a tap on my cellular Phone by calling my service provider and asking to change my number? Or would I need to close the account and get a new one alltogether? Also Is there any way of finding out for sure if your phone is tapped or not?

Cell phones can have a program loaded onto them that allows private detectives and police to easily hear your conversations even when you are engaged in a call. This is public knowledge these days. Gps phones from companies such as Sprint can track your whereabouts every 3 minutes.
