I think this is a really good question because im 13, and I dont want to come out and ask my mom when, I want to be able to know the usual time so I can ask if I can start wearing it now so she can decide at the start of it. I mean, It's not like im going to wear heaving noticable clown stuff, but I do want something to make myself look a little better. Blend in stuff to build self confidence you know? Or do I just sound like a typical teen?

    • Oh, princefan, you don't need that junk. You're beautiful just the way you are. And that whole being part of the crowd thing is not what it's all cracked up to be. Better to build that confidence from the inside then what you slap on your face.

    • A little make up never hurt a 13 y/o. This is good practice time for you & your mom to have quality time together where she can show you how to apply & what colors look good. I can't wait until my daughter is that age...she'll be 4 on the 23rd of Nov.

    • Yeah, you're right, snakelover. I just don't want her to get the idea she has to wear it to be beautifull or that fitting in is all that matters.

    • The make-up counters at Macy's have nothing on what a mom can teach her daughter about real beauty. They are just after the sales. mom's are just after making thier daughter relize that less is more. Make-up doesn't make the woman...after the end of the night the make-up is usually gone but the personality that should be the most attractive feature will still be there.
