If you can legally drink then you shouldn't have to worry about telling your dad about it at all, it will just worry him anyway. If you can't buy alcohol yourself then stop doing it before you become a DEAD child to your father who you obviously care about enough to ask this question. You aren't mature enough to handle knowing if the kid you are getting in the car with or yourself for that matter is sober enough to drive home. If no cars are involved and you are drinking at a friends house and staying there overnight... well then you're leading up to growing into an alcoholic. The reason your dad doesn't want you doing this is because he wants the best for you. Alcohol like any drug will disrupt your life before it even gets started. Be strong, respect yourself and don't fold to peer pressure.
