    The United States Postal Service announced that first-class domestic postage rates will increase on April 17, 2011. The base rates for letters and flats will not change, but additional weight will be 20 cents per oz. instead of 17 cents. Packages will increase to $1.71 for the first 3 oz., and then 17 cents per additional oz.
