    Two women had an influence on the game Monopoly. The first was a Quaker woman Elizabeth Magie (later Phillips) who created the first version of Monopoly called the "Landlord's Game" in 1904. The second woman Ruth Hoskins may have added the Atlantic City street names around 1930.
