The purpose of creation is a human race which could freely share in the goodness of life that is inherent in God. Earth exists so that the human race can reproduce and fill the heavens, but more specifically, that there can be a place where good and evil (life and the lack of life) can commingle, both within societies, and within individuals, so that individuals can freely become who they will become -- a person of life, or a person of death. So that they can, by freedom and reason, with the help of God, form their eternal character. So that those who choose to do so can join in the happiness of Love and Wisdom that is inherent in God.
