Help answer this question below.

I noticed many American friends go out to eat, they pay separately, and in China, friends go out to eat, it's almost always one friend pay for all, never separate, and the American separate paying thing is seen as rude for my family(Chinese), opinions?

    I live in Canada. Both are acceptable here. Personally, I prefer to share in the price. Why? 'Cause if I don't, I feel like I'm using the other person for his or her money (and I don't like that feeling).
