Why are you religious?

Please only answer if you are actually practicing a religion, such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc. Not agnostic/atheist.
What does religion do for you? How does it benefit you? How did you realize religion was beneficial for you?

    Safe Mode

    It is all in the heart .. when you believe in God from your heart deep inside .. you WILL feel comfort penetrates your mind and will live your life normally like all others but with this peaceful feeling along your journey ..
    It is a natural Anti-stress .. behaves your soul ..
    At the end, we all have sins .. but minimizing it is great ..
    And how did I realize religion was beneficial for me, simply by feeling more human when you practice your religion .. I believe, this is what separates us from animals .. Whatever is our religion ..
    I never see religion as a happiness barrier .. it is the boundary that helps us stay happy ..
    Yes, I love being religious ..
