What does it feel like when your filled with the holy spirit?

    I would like to add my experience to those above. I can see a little of it in some of the answers I have read. I wanted God in my life desperately but couldn't get there. I often begged him to come into my life to no avail. I also had a big problem with my head getting in the way. I was such a skeptic. I could always find a logical explanation or a counter argument. One day I tried praying saying that I knew I was a sinner and knew that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I was so grateful (or something to the effect). I immediately felt a warm rush spread through my body. For all the skeptics out there, I couldn't have made this up. It wasn't something that I was anticipating or expecting. I never expected anything palpable to occur. I hadn't read about what could happen. It just did. That wasn't even the biggest change though. The biggest change was in me. Peace is a good way to describe it. A conscious quest to want to know more and read the bible (I didn't even own one), a need to tell others about my experience and most amazingly, like was stated above, my mind was turned off. It's not that I can't think of arguments/problems with stories, etc, it's that I don't feel the need to anymore. My head is completely out of it. It's like I know what I believe and I don't feel the need to tear it apart. It is such an amazing feeling. I wish for it for everyone.
    If you knew where I came from with regards to faith, or lack thereof, it would speak to how transforming it can be. I feel so blessed to have had the holy spirit bestowed upon me.
