Rubbing a dog's sensitive nose in a POTTY ACCIDENT is of no value except to teach the dog that YOU are not a very stable person...it doesn't TEACH the correct behavior because animals do not have the same mental agility as humans...they don't have the same "moral" considerations for going to the bathroom or touching their own privates (or anyone else's now that I think upon it) in public. Rubbing their nose in it can also train the dog to EAT ITS OWN FECES...which most people find pretty disgusting.
