If you believe the Bible is the literal truth and without error, Do you believe the earth is a flat disk that is fixed and immovable, and covered by a solid firmament (dome) known as "the Vault of Heaven"?

    Dark Detail

Are you getting this from within the Bible? A reference would be nice <_,<

The Bible contains symbolic things that you have to be a Christian to truely understand, because in the Bible it says that if you are saved you will have better understanding of the scriptures.

Some people take the Bible way too literally, and out of context as well. There is this one theory called the Gap theory, and those who believe it took "Every day is as a thousand days with the Lord" (Quote from memory so not perfect wording) And they took those words and morphed it into their theory. *sigh* >_> <_<
The Earth is physically a sphere, but spiritually, well let me just say that we have no idea how things look besides what our eyes tell us. The Kingdom of God is like nothing we can ever imagine! Our minds are not capable of it! Your brain might might explode... @_@

I wrote a lot, and I am not even sure what you are talking about. Maybe I should have gone to the link? LOL

    • I realize that things in the BIble should be considered symbolic- the question is directed toward Christians who take the Bible literaly in terms of creationism and reject evolution, yet accept the structure of the solar system even though the literal Bible disagrees.

    • The literal interpretation is like "dark detail" is saying something that is done by people who aren't necessarily using the bible for the correct reason but to disprove it's word. I would like to see one quotation that blatenly and undeniably can be taken to infer contradiction from what we have learned about our own solar system. I don't ever see where the bible blatenly and undeniably contradicts itself. I'm not looking to explain it away but point out possible incorrect interpretation, which ironically the bible points out will happen without the guide of God's inspiration in your heart. "NOT BRAINWASHING" as some have hinted.

    • Try this.

“Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them; and he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me." Matthew 4:8&9 RSV

Here Satan takes Jesus up a mountain to see all the kingdoms of the Earth. Why do they need to go up a mountain if not to see all of the Earths surface from one point. This cannot be done on a sphere but only on a flat Earth.
