having a lost of power problem, will start and once engine warms up will die and drain charge and hesistate to restart even with a jump

Leaky car battery, acid is leaking near the positive post, CAN IT BE REPAIRED???? I was thinking silicone to keep the acid in???

You're reading I accidently hooked the battery charger backwards and the sparks flew. now the car will not start. It acts like it is out of fuel. It is getting fuel I checked at the injector site. Did I burn something out?
