What is the best editor for Linux/KDE that supports auto saving periodically?

    I don't know if you have checked into KOffice, http://www.koffice.org/, but it supports autosave. I don't think that Kate will ever support it since it was requested back in 2002 and apparently it's never been implemented. :)

    • The KOffice deal didn't work out either, it's too bloated for what I need it to do, I'm just trying to write a simple document, no formatting other than my own (Such as tabs and spaces and other such things).
