Why a 75 year old woman in a train crash fractured several ribs and not a 9 year old girl didn't and what can the doctors do for the 75 year old women.

    It might of just been luck. In crashes like that it is possible for some people to receive more injuries do to where they sat. However, it is also possible that the woman already had an underlying bone issue such as osteoporosis (which especially affects older women). If I were that woman, I would certainly have a bone density test done. If it shows osteoporosis, there are prescriptions that can be taken to help treat the condition.
