Communism had nothing to do with restricting freedom/liberty/rights. Certain governments that claimed to be Communist did that...and so called Democracies have done the same.

Civilization is the active suppression of instincts. By BlueStars definition civilization goes against nature. Civilization is how human beings survive despite bare skin, ineffective nails and herbivore teeth. Any government system denies individuals their right to freedom and individuality. Even the absence of government denies this right to those who cannot by force of arms protect this right for themselves.
