You're reading What is the most irritating thing you can think of?

That presents an interesting conundrum, since in order to be a modern conservative you have to sacrifice your brains. How do you deal with it?
by Rufus_T_Firefly on February 7th, 2011
I think you've got that wrong, Scuba. Since it's clear to anyone thinking with the heads above their waist that the people the rightards worship couldn't generate enough brain power to light a Christmas tree bulb. *cough*Sarah Palin* *cough*Christine O'Donnell*cough*
by QuartzKitty on February 8th, 2011
Rufus and QuartzKitty prove my point.... the most irritating thing around. Liberals. Naive, yet they think they know what they're talking about. A bad combination. Read a couple dozen books on politics and get back to me. Read Coulter, Limbaugh, Gingrich, Palin, Beck, Morris, O'Reilly, Ingraham, Bruce, Hannity. You'll realize how foolish and naive you are. Obama is a fraud. Liberals are retarded and their dumbass policies are going to destroy our civilization if they aren't stopped.
by scubaguy on February 8th, 2011
Obama's policies are not much different than Bush's.
The reason I'm a liberal is because I actually KNOW history. Conservatives live in a fantasy world.
I know more about politics than you ever will, and unlike you, I actually use my brain to think for myself, not just to keep my skull from caving in while parroting back bullshit spewed by people who don't know anything they are talking about.
Christine O'Donnell couldn't even say what was in the First Amendment of Constitution. They very document she supposedly holds sacred, and she didn't even know what was in it.
Palin had no idea what the job of the position she was running for was, and cut and run partway into a single term into the easiest political job in the country. Governor of Alaska was like being the sheriff of Mayberry. And she couldn't do the job Andy Griffith could.
Beck, for example, speaks of Thomas Paine while clearly demonstrating he knows nothing of Paine. He rails against Obama's programs, invoking the specter of socialism, while not noticing the fact the Paine proposed ideas that would very much be considered socialist today.
Read 'Agrarian Justice' and 'The Rights of Man' by Paine sometimes, in which he calls for, among other things, abolishing the inheritance of property, government funding higher education, social security, and a child tax credit.
"To create a national fund, out of which there shall be paid to every person, when arrived at the age of twenty-one years, the sum of fifteen pounds sterling, as a compensation in part, for the loss of his or her natural inheritance, by the introduction of the system of landed property:
And also, the sum of ten pounds per annum, during life, to every person now living, of the age of fifty years, and to all others as they shall arrive at that age." - Agrarian Justice
Holy shit. Paine made Stalin look like a Capitalist.
Don't believe me? Read Paine's words for yourself: http://www.ushistory.org/paine/rights/c2-054.htm
That's just one example.
Limbaugh is an admitted entertainer, who does not believe half the things he says, but counts on naive people like you to make him rich by drawing in ratings.
Rightards invoke in the name of Reagan, screaming about Obama's tax rates, while conveniently ignoring the fact that Reagan raised taxes more than Obama has. More than any President in the last 40 years.
The difference between liberals and conservatives is that conservatives talk about history. Liberals UNDERSTAND history.

Sorry Scubaguy, but the most irritating (and, frequently the most comical) 'things' on the planet are half-witted teatards such as yourself. Dinosaurs like you are destined to migrate in lockstep with the rest of your illiterate herd in that much-needed, but never-quite-fruitful quest for a double-digit IQ. Most, as you've so deftly proven, will fail miserably in your personal quests for knowledge and will likely repeat those same awkward missteps for as long as you draw breath.
Doomed to a zombie's existence, you'll squawk and perform precisely as your handlers tell you, blindly worshiping other more superior morons -- semi-successful morons -- morons with names like Coulter, Limbaugh, Gingrich, Palin, Beck, Morris, O'Reilly, Ingraham, Bruce and Hannity. Maybe one day, with a little luck, those with disabilities as severe as yours will finally be allowed to leave the comfort and safety of your shackles and cozy rubber rooms and make your own way in the world. Just think, you could get a job and begin your fantastic journey of earning the bountiful rejection and ridicule that is sure to come your way.
Don't give up, Skippy. Given enough time, anti-psychotic medication and electric shock therapy, even someone with your stunted mental abilities and limited talents should, one day, finally be able to dress yourself. You just keep on chugging away, Sunshine. You're special.

I 100% agree with QuartzKitty.

As to Ingraham... I keep hearing about how she is supposed to be intelligent, highly-educated and articulate, the cream of the crop of the GOP.
I remember in 2009, when Meghan McCain authored a thoughtful, well-written piece about how she felt people like Ann Coulter were damaging the Republican party. And yet, instead of responding by offering up a point-by-point rebuttal of Meghan McCain's arguments, Ingraham instead responds by calling McCain, who is a size eight and therefor of average weight, a 'Fattie'.
Yes. Rather than debate McCain's points, Ingraham decides to insult her weight.
If the best the supposed intellectual heavyweight of the conservative movement can offer up is to sling around a school-yard insult, it doesn't do much to disabuse those on the left of the idea that Conservatives are not that bright.
by QuartzKitty on February 10th, 2011
Gee... No sign of scubaguy. I wonder why? Could it be that his argument has evaporated, and like so many brain-dead GOParrots before him, he's just going to slink away and disappear now that someone has ripped his bullshit apart?
I've seen it before. All the time. Standard tactic with Rightards. When faced with a rebuttal of their bullshit that they can't refute, they deflect. If they can't deflect, they disappear.
Intellectual lightweights, incapable of a thought that is not put into their heads by their ideological masters, those who spew bullshit, lies, and misinformation, all over the airwaves. And the bleating sheep who worship them eat it up. Never stopping to question if the information is accurate, never once analyzing it for themselves.
