What is the difference between SLEET and FREEZING RAIN....? The weather channel SAYS there is a DIFFERENCE...HELP...?

    Sleet is almost like semi-thawed sheets of ice falling to the earth, freezing rain is more in liquid form, like ice falling that has melted into kind of slush just before falling to the ground.
