Why does our PS3 turn off when we try to play something (game or DVD)? It happens almost immediately though sometimes you can get to the game's menu screen. It can be turned back on but of course turns itself right back off again.

Can I use PS3 controller for PS2?
My PS2 controller is broken. I might buy PS3 later so if it works.. I will buy PS3 controller and use it for PS2 for now.

Always about money...Forget making a few dollars off of a $200.00 machine, when the solution is simple. Restore your PS3 through the Safe Mode options you have.
