That happens to me all the time! I usually just lay there om my bed, just thinking....
I'm sure you will fall asleep eventually. Sometimes I read a book, which is very relaxing.

What could be the psychological reasons for the inability to fall asleep when it's silent and/or dark (especially when alone)? If I am forced to attempt to do so, I become restless and depressed, and cannot do it no matter how tired I am.

We've all heard of insomnia, where one cannot fall asleep. However, has anyone ever heard of an instance where someone just does not WANT to go to sleep? For example, I am dead tired right now, however, I just don't want to go to bed. Is this the same?
