Are there only three states of matter? If so, what state is a gamma wave?

    well you are talking about gamma wave's in human neural patterns? or are you talking about gamma rays? gamma wave's are a neural oscillation pattern. that's it...

    gamma rays/radiation are not matter, they are released as part of a radioactive decay process. gamma rays are electromagnetic radiation with extremely high frequency/short wavelength.

    now, the states of matter... there are SEVERAL states of matter. the 3 that are taught in science class are just the most common.

    Another common (perhaps the most common state in the ENTIRE universe!!!) is plasma. to get a plasma involves ionizing a gas. stars are a hydrogen plasma. fire is a plasma. plasmas are just high energy ionized gasses.
