Which hurt worse when you were spanked as a child? Your feelings or your rear end?

    My mom made sure that my feelings were not hurt when she spanked me. She explained to me at length why I was going to be spanked, although most of the time I already knew. And afterward she always hugged me and told me that I was forgiven and that she loved me. So remorse for having done what had brought about the spanking, and the sting in my bottom were the main consequences.
