If Jesus is God did he ask people not to use his prayer which he taught “Our Father which art in heaven…” until he got back up there or did he advise them to temporarily say “Our Father which art with us…”?

...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Son of God, and He is God in the flesh (John 1:1-14, John 3:16). The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one in the same (I John 5:7). Jesus instructed us to pray to the Father, but there is also recorded in the Bible of His disciples praying to Jesus (Acts 7:59-60). There is also Scriptural evidence from the words of Christ Himself that we can pray to Him (John 14:13-14). Jesus is also called "the everlasting Father" in Isaiah 9:6 (capital "F" as God the Father has). They are One. I hope that this is helpful.

-In the service of the Master.
Thank you and God bless you!

    • Thank you ssbg. That’s the very point I am making. If all three are actually one, and this one is on earth with his disciples (btw there’s another odd concept – God with disciples?) how can he ask people to address him as if he is in heaven when he is actually down on earth with them?

    • well maybe he brought Heaven with him, so at the same time Jesus is God, who is also the Father, he was on earth, which was also heaven.
