Why do people open the tissue and look at their boogers after they blow their nose?

    one morning I felt really congested after just coming home from the hospital,
    after a bout with costachondritis... I blew my nose real hard and a glob
    of stuff that was very gelatinous and jiggly, came out. I think it was
    some brain tissue..Not snot. Anyway since then I have been able
    to think very clearly.. And compute great problems with ease..
    Maybe it was bad tissue that needed to come out...
