I notice the answer might be a bit late and irrelevant now, but the Answer speaks towards BLACK TEA. Not GREEN TEA, NOT Chamomile, not WHITE tea, not Herbal teas.

Black Teas MAY cause constipation in SOME individuals due to the amounts of caffeine in the tea. There is 15 milligrams of caffeine in an average 8 ounce cup of "average" GREEN tea. There is 30 milligrams in a bag of black tea.

    • Green tea also makes me constipated if I let it steep too long. It's not the caffeine but the tannin content which is higher in tea that is steeped too long.
